IMPORTANT SIGNING INSTRUCTIONS

Follow these steps carefully to ensure your will is legally valid in South Africa.

The testator must sign on the last page and initial each page.
Two competent witnesses (16 years or older, not beneficiaries or spouses of beneficiaries, and not nominated executors) must be present simultaneously during signing.
Any changes after signing must be initialled by all parties (testator and witnesses).
Store the original signed document in a safe place and inform your executor of its location.

This template assumes the testator is competent and aware of their testamentary freedom limitations under common law (maintenance of minor children).
